We highly encourage students who intend to acquire the flight training with us to read through this page carefully, especially the 'HOW TO APPLY' section to thoroughly understand each required step to avoid unnecessary errors or delays during the application processing. M1 Visa and TSA Requirements
The admission process for international students requires a few steps. Students who are legally living in the US on a valid Visa do not need to apply for an M-1 Visa. However, all international students are required to apply for TSA (Transportation Security Administration) for background clearance in order to commence flight training in the US. If you require an M-1 Visa, you must first file an online application SEVIS I-901 with the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). As soon as you have completed this application and paid the SEVIS I-901 fee, an I-20 will mail to you directly. Upon receipt of the I-20, you may make an appointment with the US Embassy or Consulate in your city to obtain your M-1 Visa. Once you have received the Visa, we will schedule and notify you for your training start date.
Medical Requirements
Before you begin flight training, a medical certificate from a FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) must be obtained. We will contact an AME and schedule an appointment for you. The physical examination performed by the AME will be tied to the medical certificate you need.

There are three classes of certificates.

  • A Class III medical certificate is required for both a Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument rating.
  • A Class II certificate is required in order to receive a Commercial Pilot's Certificate.
  • A Class I medical certificate is required in order to become an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).

Depending on your desired pilot license, you are required to take and pass the physical exam of which you will receive a medical certificate and be allowed to take the training program accordingly. For more information about US FAA medical requirements for flight training and the complete list of items that will be checked under each Medical Class examination, please visit FlightPhysical.com.
