Tour For Students

Apart from aviation enthusiasts, children and teenagers can also find their amusement too with our Study Tour Program which runs twice a year during summer and winter breaks. This is a fantastic occasion for minors to learn the history and future of aviation through visits such as San Diego Air and Space museum, National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) center and the captivating experience of flight simulation at our flight school. This is a dream trip for all ages! We, at JetOne Academy are dedicated in this theme approach making it a fun, intriguing, and intuitive learning event for everyone. JetOne's Study Tour program is only offered through local schools, tutoring centers, travel agencies, and Universities. 1. 5-Hour Exploration Flight (Program Code: EFP-001)

Flight one (1) 1.5 hours C-172:
The flight will be conducted in the local San Diego area that includes flying over the Pacific Ocean coastline, Legoland, Seaworld, San Diego harbor and the City of San Diego.

Flight two (2) 1.5 hours C-172:
The flight will introduce the pilot to actual air work (if required) of climbs, descents, turns and air speed changes while flying over the wine country, Indian Gaming Casinos and the backcountry of San Diego County.

Flight three (3) 2.0 hours C-172:
The flight will depart Palomar Airport north up the Pacific Ocean coastline to Dana Point then across 36 miles of the Pacific Ocean to fly over the Catalina Island, then return to Palomar airport.

2. 10-Hour Adventure Flight (Program Code: AFP-001)

Below itinerary is the continuation of the 5-Hour Exploration Flight program:

Flight four (4) 2.0 hours C-172:
The flight will depart Palomar Airport north through the Los Angeles basin to the Big Bear Resort area. After an airborne tour of the Ski Resort, the flight will land at the Big Bear airport for a break and then return to the Palomar airport.

Flight five (5) 3.0 hours C-172:
Destination for this flight is flexible that the itinerary may be determined on the day of the flight. Suggested destinations will include but not limited to Santa Barbara, Malibu, LA Airport, Hollywood, LA Downtown, and Palm Springs.

3. Discovery Flight Journey (Program Code: DFJ-001)

This is a customized design flight program for the discerning customers who wish to fly over to their dream destinations and make a stopover for a short stay or overnight. An extravagant and exhilarating experience, and guarantee an unforgettable vacation journey for families and friends, couples or newlyweds, or even with business clients.

4. Study Tour Program (Program Code: STP-001)

This is a diverse two to four weeks tour program that provides an opportunity for more focused and serious individuals to learn and experience flying. Activities will include a briefing on basic aviation knowledge, flight simulation lesson as well as demo flight lesson at our selected flight schools. It will also comprise of site visit at non-towered airports, air and space museum trip like Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Science Center, Boeing and Discovery Science Center, and more…

Interested students may apply to join the Study Tour program either in the summer or winter break. Applicants to the program need to be proficient and fluent in English.

5. Universities and Pilot Schools Tour Program (Program Code: UPS-001)

This is a two-week exploration trip that provides an opportunity for serious parents and their teens to examine what does a Commercial Pilot Degree Program entail. Activities include visits to the University campuses with an orientation about the campus and various academic disciplines, a tour around the flight training facility with a briefing conducted by our US FAA Certified Flight Instructor on general aviation subjects and flight simulation lesson, and a city tour surrounding the Universities’ neighborhood to give parents an orientation about the local real estates and the living environment. Lastly, parents and students will have an opportunity to participate in a demo flight that will fly over the sunny sky of the city of Southern California and other selected destinations. An official certificate will be issued and signed by our US FAA Certified Flight Instructor that indicates the actual flight time taken.

To make the trip even more fun and fulfilling, there will be several other tours to some of the trendiest local attractions that include but not limited to: air and space museum, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Science Center, Boeing and Discovery Science Center etc.

Ideal candidates to join this tour are students who will be graduating in less than one year and intended to take a TOEFL exam. A minimum TOEFL score of 500 is required to be considered by our associated Universities.

This is a year round tour, interested families are welcome to join our scheduled tour or call us for a private arrangement.
